While most animals are busy all day surviving, finding food and fleeing danger, some species have turned taking it easy into a true art form. Sleep sessions of 18 to 22 hours a day are perfectly normal for these sleepyheads. Which animal do you identify with most after a hard working week? Cast your vote!

Three-toed Sloth
Moves at a top speed of barely 30 centimeters per minute. Its digestion is so slow that digesting a single leaf can take up to a month.
Koala
Sleeps no less than 18 to 22 hours a day. Eucalyptus leaves contain hardly any calories and are full of toxins that take a huge amount of energy to break down.
African Lion
The king of beasts spends up to 20 hours a day lounging in the shade. Hunting takes explosive energy, so they save their strength for the cooler night.
Python
After a big meal it can lie coiled up motionless for weeks. Why move when your whole body is busy digesting prey?
Hippopotamus
During the day it lazily floats in shallow water for up to 16 hours to protect its skin from the harsh sun, and only slowly gets going in the evening to graze some grass.
North American Opossum
A marsupial that easily dozes off for 18 to 19 hours a day in its den, as long as there's a safe, dark hiding place available.
House Cat
On average our house tiger spends around 12 to 16 hours a day sleeping or dozing, preferably in the sunniest spot on the couch or on top of your freshly washed laundry.
Giant Panda
Spends its day roughly on two activities: 12 hours eating bamboo and the other 12 hours recovering from eating in a comfortable tree branch.
Nurse Shark
Unlike many other shark species, the nurse shark doesn't have to swim constantly to breathe. It prefers to nap in large groups on the seabed.
Lemur
Always starts the morning with extensive sunbathing with arms spread wide to warm up, and then happily naps huddled together with the whole group.
