Celebrating too early: Khalid Askri (FAR Rabat – Maghreb de Fès, 2010)
Goalkeeper Khalid Askri saved a penalty in a shootout and started wildly beating his chest in front of the crowd. While he celebrated, the ball had so much backspin that it slowly rolled over the goal line after all.
The fan who scored from the spot (Saturn – Spartak Moscow, 2009)
An enthusiastic Spartak fan ran onto the pitch during a penalty and flawlessly slotted it home himself just before Alex could take it. The referee had the penalty retaken, and it was scored again.

Dion Dublin stayed hidden behind Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given, who thought he had all the time in the world to kick the ball out. Dublin sprinted forward as soon as the ball touched the ground and simply tapped it in.

After goalkeeper Hans-Jörg Butt converted a penalty, he ran back to his own half celebrating. Schalke took the kickoff immediately and shot the ball from the halfway line into Leverkusen's still completely empty goal.
