It plays with the clichés of trilogies and has more comic elements, making it the most self-aware Scream film.

Scream 4 (2011): A Modern Reboot Within the Franchise
Director: Wes Craven. Starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Emma Roberts. More than ten years after Scream 3, Sidney returns to Woodsboro on a book tour, and once again a new Ghostface appears with deadly intentions. With modern technology, social media and a new generation of victims, Scream 4 gives the slasher genre another clever twist. It was Wes Craven's final film.

With a more brutal, aggressive Ghostface, chilling kill scenes and an intense urban setting, Scream VI is one of the most thrilling entries in the franchise.
