All Ghostbusters Movies in Order

Not a film, but an iconic animated series based on the original characters. These cartoons brought Ghostbusters to the kids of the '80s and '90s, with lots of color, humor and ghosts you'll still recognize today, not to mention a very popular Slimer.

The classic where it all began. Three eccentric parapsychologists start a ghost removal business in New York and become famous when they have to face a supernatural threat of epic proportions. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson are unforgettable.

Five years later, the Ghostbusters have to spring into action again when a river of slime fed by negativity grows beneath New York. With baby Oscar in danger and a villain trapped in a painting, it's a cheerful, somewhat more childlike sequel full of nostalgia.

This reboot with an all-female cast (Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones) divided audiences but brought a fresh twist to the concept. Not connected to the original storyline, but with plenty of nods to the classics.

A direct continuation of the original films. When a single mother moves with her children to rural Oklahoma, they discover their link to an original Ghostbuster... and that the ghosts were never quite gone. Director Jason Reitman, son of original director Ivan Reitman, brings together nostalgia and heart.

The newest film brings the original and new generations together to fight a supernatural deep freeze that threatens to turn New York into a ghost city. More action, more humor and the Ghostbusters family as never before.
