Ocean's Eleven (2001)
The remake that pushed the 1960 original into the background. George Clooney as Danny Ocean assembles a team to rob three casinos at once. Brad Pitt eats, Matt Damon fumbles and Julia Roberts shines. The style is sleek, the script razor-sharp and the soundtrack still swings. This is how you combine cool and criminal.
Ocean's Twelve (2004)
European flair, double-crosses and Vincent Cassel as the acrobatic 'Night Fox'. The crew moves to Rome and Amsterdam but gets tangled in overly ambitious schemes. Beautiful to look at, but it lacks the momentum of the first film.
Where it all began. Untouchable for real.
Ocean's Thirteen (2007)
Back in Vegas. This time the crew wants revenge on a ruthless casino owner played by Al Pacino. It feels familiar: lots of schemes, inside jokes and technical tricks. Not innovative, but entertaining, and a worthy conclusion to Danny's trilogy.

Ocean's 8 (2018)
Debbie Ocean, Danny's sister (Sandra Bullock), assembles her own crew for a heist at the Met Gala. Think glitter, haute couture and diamonds. Rihanna, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter add color to the ensemble. It's less tight than the original trilogy but doesn't fall short in style and charm, and with nearly 300 million dollars at the box office: mission accomplished.
