Her stunning film debut immediately put her on the map as a top talent. As a young woman who narrowly escapes a sinister cult and seeks refuge with her sister, Olsen plays the paralyzing paranoia and confusion between present and memory with oppressive, restrained intensity.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018): Wanda Maximoff
In the monumental climax of the battle against Thanos, Olsen carries the heaviest emotional sacrifice of all. Her despair when forced to destroy the Mind Stone in the forehead of her beloved Vision while holding Thanos back with one hand is guaranteed to give you goosebumps.

In this true-crime miniseries, Olsen plays a seemingly respectable Texas housewife whose affair with a neighbor ultimately leads to a notorious axe killing, for which she was acquitted on grounds of self-defense. Olsen's ability to combine denial with domestic charm is chillingly good.
